3 dressing mistakes you shouldn’t make
Any resemblance to reality is not a coincidence. These are real-life examples. Have you ever experienced any of these?
1.
BEFORE: ’I have a favourite dress. I wear it occasionally, but I really like it. It’ll be perfect for a photo shoot! I’ll find it in my wardrobe before the session.’
DURING THE PHOTO SESSION: It’s too tight or too loose. You feel uncomfortable, you try to cover your belly, waist, etc., and you just keep thinking about it throughout the whole session.
TIP: Try on the dress beforehand, wear it for a while and not just for 1 minute. The same goes for the shoes! If they’re so tight that you can’t even walk in them, they won’t be comfortable when you have to stand, either.
2.
BEFORE: ’I’ll buy a new shirt for the photo shoot! I’ll quickly go to the mall beforehand or order it online.’
DURING THE PHOTO SHOOT: You don't like it... You didn’t think it over and now you feel uncomfortable. You should have chosen your old and comfy outfit to be on the safe side.
TIP: There's nothing wrong with new clothes, just give yourself time. Wear them first, and have a plan B in case of impulse purchases.
3.
BEFORE: ’I love nature. I want a relaxed series in a forest.’ The chosen outfit, however, is an elegant dress you could wear at a New Year's Eve party or when you go to a theater.
TIP: Choose your clothing so that it matches the environment in style and color. This will make for harmonious pictures.
