Why is photography more than just a click?
From the outside, a photo shoot can seem pretty simple. We meet, I take a few photos and send you the finished images soon. What you don’t always see is that most of the work happens long before I press the shutter button.
1. Our work together starts before the photo shoot
A successful photo shoot isn’t decided on the day itself.
Before we meet, we’ll talk about what kind of images you want, where you’ll be using them, and the mood or style you have in mind. I’ll also help you choose the right location, time of day, and even what to wear.
The more thought we put into the preparation, the more relaxed and seamless the photo shoot itself will be.
2. During the photo shoot, it’s not just the camera doing the work
Many people think a photographer’s most important job is taking pictures.
But it’s just as important to keep an eye on you throughout the shoot. I’ll guide you through posing, show you what to focus on, and constantly adapt to the light, the weather and the location.
3. The final images take shape during post-production
Once the photo shoot is over, the careful process of selecting and editing the images begins.
I take great care with every photo I deliver, making sure the colours, light and overall look feel natural and true to you.
That’s why a photo shoot is more than just a few clicks. When you receive your gallery, all you see is the final result. The location scouting, planning, guidance during the shoot and hours of post-production all happen behind the scenes.
Yet these are exactly the details that ultimately determine whether a photo is simply a snapshot or an image you’ll still be happy to look back on years from now.
